We were buying our first house and were actually considering not using a Realtor since we didn't have a house to sell. Luckily we changed our mind and a friend recommended Barbara highly. There was so much involved in buying a house that we did not know about! Barbara's knowledge and experience paid off for us all along the way.

To start with we decided to buy a house that already had a bid on it. Barbara helped us to make the perfect offer which was just enough but not too much. After we had the house inspected Barbara suggested we get someone to give us an estimate on the repairs that were most important to us from the inspection. This is something we never would have thought of. Not only did it make us feel better about the house(the repairs were really not that costly) but it gave us a lot of leverage for renegotiating before our option period was up. Barbara sent the other Realtor an incredibly well written email pointing out that there were quite a few repairs that would need to be made and many were safety oriented. They agreed and we got our house.

Barbara's negotiating skills were excellent. I was especially impressed with her communication skills using email which is very important in this day and time. She also kept us right on target through the whole process. She helped us with many things that I never would have expected a realtor to do, such as arranging for the handyman to give us bids on repairs. She was always one step ahead of everyone else through the whole buying process. I would recommend Barbara to anyone buying a house and know she will always be our Realtor.
